We are working with a leading offshore drilling contractor that operates and manages a fleet of modern, high specification drilling rigs on a worldwide basis.

Overview

This leading drilling contractor was using our On-the-Rig (OTR) Simulator technology to help train their workers on site. Our technology provided the tools to test job role knowledge and understanding in safety but they were still struggling to get the real-time visibility of the workforce competence they needed.

How we worked together

We captured all worker training and competence history into the Training & Complaince Management software module allowing them to;

  • Design tailored job role training matrices
  • Get a deeper understanding of the current skills and knowledge gaps
  • Book training and additional learning to fill the gaps
  • Manage their safety-critical worker certification and re-certification

This system tied into our powerful Competency Management software, which enabled our client to build the clear picture they needed. In the CMS they could:

  • Design and conduct competence assessments, which tied directly into the OTR simulator
  • Track progress and performance on site through our bespoke offline app
  • Monitor and manage all activity via our bespoke reporting dashboards
